Description
The Data Protection Officer (DPO) must actively participate in all matters relating to the protection of personal data while the company should ensure the access to all necessary information for this purpose on personal data and their processing procedures. The DPO must have the undivided support of the company which shall provide them with the necessary means for the proper fulfilment of its responsibilities, he/she must be able to act autonomously within the firm. Under no circumstances should the role of the DPO and the consistency toward him bring about the punishment of the latter or discharge of his/her duties by the project manager.
The DPO can powerfully contribute to the records keeping of a company and records regarding the processes that take place within the company, always according to the information given to him by the project manager.
In this way, through frequent information and reporting to the DPO, can the compliance of the business be strengthened.
